“Dear god! Look man–the propellors! They’ve gone all rubbery!”
The copilot’s face was a twisted rictus of terror. “It’s happening again,” he said, twitching. “Ha! Ha! It’s…it’s happening again!”
The wheel melted in the copilot’s hands. Dials warped and needles wilted, switches popped from their housings and pedals fell limp underfoot.
“The wings,” whispered the pilot, breathless. “The wings are…flapping.”
From the nose of the plane came a great metallic squawk. The copilot, for whom it had all been too much, slept soundly.
