The weirdest thing about their appearance is that they are wearing shoes, thus accentuating their nakedness, like Donald Duck and his little sailor uniform.

WHERE ARE YOUR PANTS DONALD?

You know, that last sentence sounds so familiar.

It's like one of those posters you see in doctor's waiting rooms. Like the one with the mother feeding a baby from one of those American-diner style sugar dispensers. Only with this one, the message is even less clear. (Should you, or should you not feed sugar to your babies in place of milk?)

Let's consider the multiple planes at work here. Look at the attacker's feet. He's clearly standing on flat ground, and our eye is looking along an invisible horizontal plane that stretches out to meet them. Now look at the, the whatchamacallit, the whacker machine--it's dipping through the plane at an odd angle. And there's a strange lensing effect going on, too. Would his hammer hit the...the female? It's impossible to know. It might swing right through her and hit him on the back of the head. Topology is weird like that.

I'm confused by the racial message as well. The mildly erotic hint of an armpit on the female phone says to me that this species of phone goes around naked. That would mean that the male Brundlephone has grey skin, suggesting some racial diversity in the species. Racial animosity, even. But the fact they have exactly the same face suggests they are the fruit of the same hideous electric womb.

As I say--confusing.
